This month, we’ll feature trumpeter James Suggs, performing a tribute to trumpet legend Miles Davis.

The performance was recorded in February of this year at the Side Door Cabaret inside the historic theater, and features a band of all Tampa Bay area residents: Jeremy Carter on tenor saxophone, Jean Bolduc, drums, John Richardson piano and Brandon Robertson, bass.

Special guest appearance by Austin Vickrey on alto sax.

Suggs has been a fixture in the Tampa Bay area for several years. He teaches at the University of South Florida, and his first major label recording, “Your Gonna Hear From Me,” came out in 2018 on Arbors Records.

The broadcast will also feature interviews with Suggs and Palladium Executive Director Paul Wilborn.
