In September, WUSF All Night Jazz and The Palladium at St. Petersburg College presented the second edition of our monthly series called “Side Door at the Palladium.”

We’ll be broadcasting recordings of live performances made at The Palladium on the first Friday of each month, during a special extended edition of our Jazz Trip@Ten on WUSF.

This month, we featured “Carter Plays Coltrane” featuring Tampa-based saxophonist Jeremy Carter.

The performance was recorded in July of 2019 at the Side Door Cabaret at the Palladium.

Backing Carter was the veteran Tampa Bay trio La Lucha with Mark Feinman on drums, John O’Leary piano, and Alejandro Arenas on bass.

The broadcast will also feature interviews with Carter and Palladium Executive Director Paul Wilborn. If you missed the broadcast, you can listen now by clicking below.

Last month we kicked off the series with trumpeter James Suggs and a tribute to Miles Davis which you can listen to now.
